Making new travel arrangements can be very expensive. You may not be able to get another flight until the next day.

Here are some simple tips to make sure you get to your flight on time.

• Arrive early. Ok it’s an obvious one but no one likes being really early for their flight and having to kill time hanging around the airport. If you want to be on the safe side then it is just something that you have to put up with. Arrive at least 2 hours before your flights departure.
• Take into account if you are travelling during a peak period. There are normally long queues and packed airports to deal with at these times.
• Check in online if the airline you are travelling with offers an online check in service.
• Many airlines now offer a text service which helps keep passengers up to date re: when flight times are changed
• Large Airport such as LAX (LA Airport) require more time to get from point to point
